- Regularly review the general ledger with subsidiary ledger entries using SAP to ensure accuracy and compliance with Egyptian accounting standards.
- Assist in implementing changes to the chart of accounts by coordinating with the line manager and IT dept. to keep the alignment with Company standards.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and interim reports as may be required by following the monthly closing policies and procedures to meet the reporting deadline.
- Review required tax reports for Withholding Tax, Income Tax, Stamp Tax, and VAT by extracting the data from the SAP system and implementing any changes that arise from the current tax law to make sure of compliance with the general government laws and regulations.
- Coordinate and prepare for the external/internal audits by preparing and arranging for the information needed for the audit to meet the deadlines for audit clearance and final audit report.
- Recommend changes in financial policies and procedures, as necessary by reviewing the current process and analyzing the weaknesses of controls to safeguard the company assets and smooth the flow of work.
- Assist with maintaining the fixed assets register by providing all supported documents to ensure the completeness and updates of the register.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
8-12 years of experience in the manufacturing field, preferably in Cement, sugar, or steel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles (e.g., IFRS or local GAAP).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
