Job Description
Financial Management & Reporting
Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Egyptian accounting standards and IFRS.
Manage the general ledger, ensuring proper classification and recording of financial transactions.
Conduct budget planning, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasting to support business operations.
Prepare periodic financial performance reports and present key insights to management.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, payments, and collections.
Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and intercompany transactions.
Maintain client and supplier accounts, ensuring accurate financial records and prompt dispute resolution.
Taxation & Compliance
Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax filings, including VAT, corporate tax, and withholding tax, in compliance with Egyptian tax laws.
Coordinate with external auditors for tax assessments and audits.
Implement and monitor internal financial controls to prevent discrepancies and fraud.
Payroll & Expense Management
Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Monitor and control operational expenses, ensuring adherence to budget allocations.
Review and approve financial transactions to maintain cost efficiency.
Audit & Internal Controls
Support internal and external audits, ensuring financial records are accurate and accessible.
Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Mentor and guide junior accountants, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.
Work closely with project managers, procurement, and HR to ensure financial alignment with business objectives.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in architecture, engineering, or construction industries.
Strong knowledge of Egyptian financial laws, IFRS, and tax regulations.
Proficiency in ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
