• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial reports, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
• Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders
• Analyze and present financial data to highlight trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings
. • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on accounting procedures, compliance, and best practices
. • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training to ensure the team's professional development and alignment with company goals. Treasury & Cash Management
• Oversee daily treasury operations, including managing company cash flow, bank transfers, and working capital requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly
. • Monitor and manage short-term and long-term cash requirements and liquidity to support the company's operations.
• Supervise and review accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
• Ensure accuracy in vendor and customer account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers to facilitate smooth financial transactions. Tax Compliance
• Oversee VAT and corporate tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to the relevant tax authorities. • Stay current on changes to tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company’s compliance and optimizing tax planning strategies
. • Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants to prepare for audits and resolve any issues.
• Analyze profit margins on products and services, working with sales and operational teams to optimize pricing and margins.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the finance and accounting functions.
• Implement cost-control measures to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Internal Controls & Compliance
• Ensure the implementation of strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
Work with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations. Financial Analysis & Strategy
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field .
Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in accounting or finance,
Experience in the retail, distribution, or manufacturing industry is an advantage.
