🔹 Fixed Assets Duties:
Update the fixed assets register on a weekly basis with new additions.
Reconcile physical asset counts with book records.
Accurately and promptly record asset additions, transfers, disposals, and write-offs.
Assign and track barcodes for all assets to ensure unique identification.
Regularly reconcile asset clearing accounts with cost accounts.
Conduct periodic physical counts of company assets as required.
🔹 Warehouse Stock Control Duties:
Monitor the movement of stock from the warehouse to operational sites, ensuring proper conversion from CIP (Construction in Progress) to CAP (Capital Assets).
Manage the return of stock to the warehouse and classify items as used, under test, under repair, or scrapped.
Conduct regular physical stock counts according to financial and audit standards; investigate and resolve any variances.
Review monthly reconciliations between warehouse data and the fixed assets register across all storage locations.
Follow up on and control the CIP balance.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting major or equivalent).
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Fixed Assets Accounting and Inventory Control.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems and asset-related accounting software.
Solid understanding of accounting and audit standards related to asset management.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and within a collaborative team environment.
