Cost Accountant

Job Description

Utilize Activity-Based Costing (ABC) to allocate manufacturing overhead and service department costs effectively. Prepare and control product costing, track cost changes, and support pricing and margin decisions for new products. Analyze manufacturing overhead, direct labor, and material costs to determine COGS and ensure accurate inventory valuation. Generate monthly variance reports (e.g., wastage, material, labor, freight) and validate inventory-related accounts during month-end closing. Lead cost-saving initiatives through expense analysis and optimization. Conduct physical inventory counts (WIP and annual) and coordinate procedures with warehouse managers.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of experience in cost accounting. Proficiency in advanced reporting and data analysis tools. Expertise in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
