Senior General Accountant – Experience in Oil & Gas

Job Description

Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivables, and payroll ✅ Focus on collection from clients and ensuring smooth cash flow ✅ Prepare and analyze financial statements & reports (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) ✅ Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and company policies ✅ Manage month-end and year-end closing, including reconciliations and accruals ✅ Develop and maintain financial models & forecasts to support decision-making ✅ Assist with budget preparation & quarterly forecasts ✅ Provide financial analysis to support strategic planning & business growth ✅ Manage and coordinate external audits ✅ Implement financial controls & risk mitigation procedures

Job Requirements

. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred) . 5+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry is a MUST . Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing . Experience with financial modeling, forecasting & budgeting . Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or other accounting software . Deep understanding of financial regulations & compliance in the oil and gas sector . Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills .Excellent communication and interpersonal skills . Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently
