Commercial Finance Business Partner

Job Description

Strategic Business Planning: Lead the development and execution of business strategies, working closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with long-term growth objectives. P&L Management: Prepare and analyze various P&L scenarios, identifying opportunities for optimization, and ensuring financial targets and performance metrics are achieved. Financial Forecasting & Analysis: Provide accurate, timely, and actionable financial forecasts, analyzing trends, variances, and recommending corrective actions when needed. Trade Term & Discount Management: Manage the trade term structure, including trade discounts, rebates, and pricing models to ensure profitability is maximized while meeting market demands, along with month end closing. Resource Allocation: Assist in the dynamic allocation of resources across different business functions to support growth initiatives and maintain operational efficiency. Strategic Project Leadership: Lead financial analysis and forecasting for key strategic projects, ensuring robust financial models are in place and business cases are supported by sound financial data. Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, operations, and other business areas to ensure a clear understanding of financial performance and assist in achieving business goals. Reporting & Decision Support: Provide ongoing financial reporting to senior management, highlighting key insights that drive business performance, and deliver recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Job Requirements

Minimum 7 years of experience in Controlling and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) roles, with a proven track record of managing strategic financial initiatives and delivering key insights to leadership. In-depth knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and P&L management. Strong understanding of trade terms, trade discount management, and pricing strategies. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present insights to senior leadership. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing key strategic projects. Advanced proficiency in financial software, Excel, and ERP systems; experience with Power BI or similar tools is a plus. Strong business acumen, with the ability to think strategically and drive operational excellence. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred)
