Cost Accountant 3-5years’ experience

Job Description

Perform daily review of warehouse transactions (issues, receipts, transfers) ensuring proper documentation and accurate accounting allocations. Monitor inventory policies, validate raw material consumption, and ensure compliance with waste and usage standards. Analyze inventory turnover, classify stock (fast-moving, slow-moving, obsolete), and investigate excessive consumption and its cost impact. Ensure accurate inventory valuation, pricing, and reconciliation with accounting records; process adjustments and supplier returns properly. Conduct random and annual physical inventory counts, resolve variances. Oversee purchase requests, monitor safety stock, manage damaged or obsolete inventory, and ensure proper accounting treatment for write-offs. Prepare detailed reports of warehouse issues based on correct accounting allocations to support product costing. Process inventory transactions into the accounting system and reconcile transaction values between inventory modules and the trial balance. Review daily purchase requests (local and imported) and approve execution based on stock levels and production plans.
