Job Description

• Oversee the preparation and recording of all accounting entries related to the purchase and supply of building materials and concrete items. • Monitor project costs and control expenditure related to construction materials such as cement, steel, bricks, scaffolding, wood, and equipment. • Prepare periodic reports on material movement and stock levels, linking them to actual project costs. • Review supplier invoices and ensure they match with contracts and received quantities. • Coordinate with procurement and warehouse departments to ensure accurate and up-to-date recording of material transactions, prices, and quantities. • Provide detailed financial analyses and recommendations on high-cost and frequently used materials. • Operate accounting software and integrate it with inventory and project tracking systems. • Supervise bank reconciliations, journal entries, and tax report preparations. • Lead the accounting team and ensure full compliance with internal financial procedures. • Contribute to annual budget planning and monitor actual vs. forecasted performance.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Chief Accountant, preferably within the construction and building materials sector. • Strong knowledge of construction materials and their financial impact. • Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills. • Excellent analytical and leadership skills.
