In-depth knowledge of IFRS, its practical and commercial applications to provide clients with advice that address their objectives
Ability to conduct in depth research on complex accounting matters, prepare technical papers for discussion with senior team members and apply critical thinking.
Strong IFRS 9 and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) modeling experience to provide clients with technical accounting support and apply analytical skills.
Strong task management skills as the delivery role may require you working potentially on multiple projects requiring a balance and management of tasks and commitments on these projects.
Interacting and developing relationships with key client staff and engaging in a professional and confident manner.
Develop and build positive relationships with both the client staff and internal PwC team members including with the other PwC lines of services (such as tax, legal, deals, etc.).
In-depth understanding of IFRS and general accounting principles.
Strong interest and passion for enhancing technical accounting skills.
Fluency in both English and Arabic. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability and willingness to travel within the Middle East based on the project and client requirements.
Able to work independently and as part of a team with a fast paced and a high energy that will translate into a high-quality output.
Excellent organizational skills, having the ability to prioritize workload whilst being resilient and being able to cope well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business studies, accounting, or finance.
Certification in accounting: ACA, ACCA, CPA, or similar accounting certification.
3 - 5 years of Financial services audit or other relevant experience in a Big 4 firm.
Accounting Advisory / consulting experience is beneficial.
Experience in the GCC is beneficial.
