Accounting Manager 10 years of relevant accounting or finance experience 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role

Job Description

Oversees the daily accounting activities required to maintain the Authority’s general ledger. Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of the accounting staff (including, but not limited to, cash reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, accounts receivable transactions, Fixed asset activity, payroll, accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses, etc.). Cash management (including placement/movement of funds in various trusts). Maintains organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions. Resolves complex accounting issues or assists other Authority personnel in resolving financial issues. Reviews general ledger on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of posting. Produces financial reports involving the Authority’s trust accounts for monthly board meetings. Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. Produces quarterly and annual financial statements and Ad Hoc financial reports. Makes and implements recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned or required. To provide support and resource for local WCM activities whilst implementing global projects, local projects, Act as project/pillar sponsor, leader, member. Compliance to statutory/legal Occupational Health, Environment & Safety company policies and procedures. Compliance with the company QMS, Quality Control, Product compliance of Saint-Gobain.

Job Requirements

Educational Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance CPA, or CMA certification (preferred) A Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus Additional Requirements: Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor Ability to manipulate large amounts of data Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations Ability to direct and supervise Professional Experience 10 years of relevant accounting or finance experience 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and audit coordination Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP Skills and Competencies Fluent in English Excellent proficiency in Excel and accounting software Leadership and team management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and accuracy Strong understanding of local tax laws and regulations Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
