The name Kandil carries a strong history on its own; Opening its doors to the market in 1865; a century where steel industry was new. Started manufacturing manual agricultural machinery, later changed to semi-automatic ones, then on to boilers in the early 1900's. Passing through several phases; Kandil represented by Mohy Kandil who came back from France after attaining his BA degree in economics, started trading in Flat Steel, initiating a small workshop for processing steel sheets while concentrating mainly on prime quality which gave the family a strong presence and reputation in the egyptian market. The second generation took the initiative to start the first modern service center in the early 1980's in 10th of Ramadan city. The year 2000 was a huge leap for Kandil Steel as they initiated the first privately owned Cold Rolling mill in Egypt , then Kandil set up its first Galvanizing line with a production capacity of 65,000 tons. Back in 2007 Kandil acquired GalvaMetal, built its name as reliable CR, GI & Coated flat Steel supplier in both Europe and Mina region. the company current production plan exceeds 500,000 tons/year. Kandil Steel is a customer oriented business, focused on the continuous development of finished and semi-finished steel products tailored to the required needs. Kandil Steel incorporation is the holding company for two facilities (Galva Metal – Kama Coating and Manufacturing) and sister company Kama Manufacturing; Kandil is counted as one of the largest producers of Cold Rolled , Galvanized flat steel, Pre-Painted, Blue Steel and exclusive KTOC products in North Africa and the Middle East. Our production lines include: pickling, cold rolling, annealing, galvanizing, color coating and manufacturing steel sheets.
