Job Description
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure financial reports are accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant accounting standards.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop, maintain, and monitor the organization’s budget.
Prepare financial forecasts and analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.
General Accounting:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other financial transactions.
Audit and Compliance:
Coordinate and oversee external financial audits.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
Financial Analysis:
Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making and cost management.
Identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
Team Management:
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including accountants and clerks.
Assign tasks, set goals, and ensure staff members are well-trained and motivated.
Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes, policies, and procedures.
Implement best practices to enhance department efficiency and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
Cash Management:
Oversee cash flow management, including cash forecasts and investment decisions.
Manage banking relationships, monitor bank accounts, and ensure liquidity for day-to-day operations.
Financial Software and Systems:
Ensure the organization uses appropriate financial software and systems (e.g., Odoo) for accounting and reporting purposes.
Work with IT to implement and maintain systems that improve financial data accessibility and decision-making.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent are required.
12+ years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years as a manager.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost analysis.
Experience in the Food & Beverage industry (preferably with a specialty coffee or restaurant business) is highly preferred.
Strong proficiency in financial software systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
In-depth understanding of tax laws, financial regulations, and audit processes.
Very good in English with excellent communication skills.
