• Review cross-border transactions and contracts for applicable withholding taxes.
• Ensure timely payment and filing of withholding tax returns.
• Liaise with vendors and tax authorities regarding withholding tax matters.
3. VAT (Value-Added Tax)
• Oversee VAT compliance, including accurate and timely VAT filings.
• Review VAT implications of business transactions and advise accordingly.
• Monitor VAT input and output to ensure optimal recovery and compliance.
4. Transfer Pricing
• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and documentation requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of local and master files.
• Conduct benchmarking studies and support intercompany pricing strategies.
5. Double Taxation Agreements (DTAs)
• Analyze the applicability of DTAs to cross-border transactions.
• Apply treaty benefits where appropriate to minimize double taxation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant treaties and international tax developments.
6. PET (Profit Extraction Techniques)
• Evaluate and implement effective profit repatriation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with legal frameworks while optimizing group tax position.
• Collaborate with legal and finance teams to structure tax-efficient dividend and royalty flows.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA,) is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in taxation, preferably in a multinational or advisory firm.
• Strong knowledge of local tax legislation and international tax principles.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
