Chief Accountant experienced

Job Description

Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department including: Accounts payable/receivable General ledger Bank reconciliations Tax and regulatory compliance Custody Trail Balance Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP). Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. Coordinate and complete annual audits. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions. Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy. Develop budgets and monitor expenditures. Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial results and drive operational improvements Leverage multi-industry experience to inform accounting strategies and best practices Assist with financial forecasting and risk analysis. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Liaise with external auditors, banks, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA strongly preferred) 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in management or supervisory capacity Demonstrated success working across multiple industries Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting tandards Proficient in accounting systems such as SAP One , or similar ERP platforms Advanced Excel skills and analytical thinking Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
